B.Sc. (Mathematics)

Department of Mathematics

About the Department

B.Sc (Mathematics) course started during the year 2011. We have Mathematical Statistics as allied subject for the first year and for the second year we have Computer Programming. Our department has qualified , energetic and dedicated faculty members in many diverse areas of mathematics, and it also boasts of hosting visits of a good number of distinguished mathematicians every year. Monthly seminars are being conducted by eminent scholars from various universities for the students’ welfare for making them perfect in all walks of their life. Well talented professors are handing classes and training the students to do their best. Our department is conducting motivation programs to boost the interest of young students to perform well in competition exams. Our students are placed in various companies like V.Dart from the campus interview. Radhika (2015-18) Batch has scored university 9th Rank.

Vision

The Department of Mathematics, has strived to be a centre of excellence in mathematics and computing, and it has been vigorously engaged in research, teaching and training.

Mission

The mission of the mathematics department is to provide a supportive environment where students can learn and become experts in mathematics, through dedicated teaching and motivation. Moreover, the department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to pursue internationally recognized research in pure and applied mathematics, and to function as productive and responsible citizens.
