Interview Tips
This is the time to prepare yourself for the career cruise that is in store ahead. Its of no use acquiring higher degree without building character, confidence, and expressive personality. To meet the challenges of professional life, one has to be familiar with many skills to grab the attention of an interviewer, out of which Interview skills are the basic necessities to meet up the future challenges with success. Either you are applying for a job or want to qualify an entrance examination for a professional degree; you should have to be prepared in advance for an interview. Its the only way you through which you can gain the trust of an interviewer. An interviewer always attempt to decide that why they should select you? What are the qualities, which you have and other do not have? How can you benefit their organization?
If you can show your trust, your confidence, your commitment, and appropriate skills, then you could win a successful future. Interview is a form of oral communication. Its one to one, or one to group interaction, where an applicant proves themselves as a unique person to be the part of an organization. Remember that interview is always pre-planned and structured. Its a formal presentation between an interviewer and an interviewee. Only those pass it with flying colors, who are original and show their interest with confidence and who present themselves appealing.
Keep in mind these important first impression indicators.
- Research about the company and its status in the market before heading towards the mission“interview.”
- Wear a clean, well-ironed formal dress to suit the profile of the interview. Hair should be well trimmed and well combed irrespective of the hairstyle or hair color.
- Keep yourself rich of attitude throughout the process of interview. Your body language speaks your attitude much before your interview starts orally. Be aware.
- Walk in the door of interview venue as if you already work there; carry yourself as though you feel perfectly comfortable with the situation.
- Have a well-groomed, professional appearance. Project a feeling of confidence.
- Arrive on time or a little early from the scheduled time of interview. Politely tell the receptionist whom you are meeting and ask where you should sit.
- Take slow, deep breaths to help you remain calm and focused throughout the interview.
- Observe the company and its employees while waiting for your turn for the interview. This is a superb way to get the nerve of the company.
- When introduced to the interviewer, have a firm handshake. Pitch with a decent Smile.
- Have correct body posture when sitting or standing. Let your back be straight and keep appropriate gaps between the legs. Do not move your hands a lot while you reply to the interviewer.
- Do not squeeze your eyebrows and don’t let the lines of perplexity come on your forehead.
- Introduce yourself in an absolute stress-free, confident manner as you have already won the interview.
- Only yes or no replies are big no-no, but at the same time do not ramble. Explain and justify yourself to the point.
