The
M.I.E.T. Educational Institutions are promoted
by the Mohamed Institute of Education and
Technology(M.I.E.T.), a registered Society,
registered in the year 1984 under the Tamilnadu
Societies Registration Act 1975, by the
initiative of the Founder Secretary, Alhaj
Er. A Mohamed Yunus, an industralist and
educationist of high repute and long standing.
A post-graduate engineer from University
of Madras, Er. A. Mohamed Yunus with his
educational background and philanthropic
outlook started several educational institutions
under M.I.E.T. Society. The Society
is recognized as a Muslim Minority Institution
under Article 30(1) of Indian Constitution.
The
main objective of the M.I.E.T. Society is
to provide educational opportunities for
the youth and raise them as competent engineers,
high caliber scientists, industrial &
business managers, scholars and useful citizens
by establishing and running high-class educational
and training institutions.
To
meet the objective, the M.I.E.T. has established
the following Institutions at Tiruchirapalli:

Polytechnic College - (1984)
- M.I.E.T.
Arts and Science College - (1993)
- M.I.E.T.
Engineering College - (1997)
